Untie the Not

...once you've decided, do it

This paperweight is on my desk at work.

I wrote this last evening.

Untie the Not
Turn the key, slip the catch
Untie the knot, lift the latch
Hold the space
Untie the NOT

You are that little push, that catalyst
that moment of Oh! when you blink and the view is the same
…but the picture is totally different. You will sometimes,
but rarely, see it happen.

Cast the seeds, send them out
Live in beauty, without doubt
Show the mirror
Untie the NOT

Some seeds hit sand, some hit stone
but then the wind may carry them home, scattered.
Never know which will sprout and what will grow.
But the seed knows itself.

A little push, a tiny shove
A written word, an act of love
Open the door
Untie the NOT

You cannot make change, only enable it
Cannot force it, only allow it, only become it.
Show what’s possible. Step forward into fear,
and breathe through it.

.
It’s why I’m here, no grand design
Just one.  Piece.  At.  A. Time.

Untie the NOT.

RA: That is very thought provoking. I really like “untie the NOT”. There’s truth in every word.

My favorite part is “that moment of Oh! when you blink and the view is the same
…but the picture is totally different.”
